Female dogs in heat will be temporarily not allowed in the pack to prevent unwanted breeding and potential conflicts with other dogs, especially intact males. We will take intact male puppies to the dog park until there becomes an issue. We will closely supervise the intact puppy at all times while inside the park to prevent any potential conflicts or incidents. Intact male puppies can potentially become an issue when they reach sexual maturity, which typically occurs between six and twelve months of age, although it can vary depending on the breed and individual dog. Once they or other dogs start exhibiting behaviours related to their hormones, such as mounting, roaming in search of females, and potentially aggressive behaviour we will then have to pull them from the pack until they are neutered and recovered for 30 days after surgery.
